Tough Enough

Geraldine got her first set of needles this week with Mom. When they got home Mom kept telling her how strong she was for not crying. The first needle barely phased her and the second only brought a single squawk.

When Dad got home he started the same thing over again. How proud he was and how she was a brave, strong and tough little girl.

I don't get what the big deal is. If I had those chubs on my thighs you could use me as a pin cushion! I'm constantly barking at suspicious looking men, trying to chase squirrels, cats and raccoons. Where is my praise for being tough and brave?!

You win another round Poozilla.

All Hallows Eve!

Better late than never, right world?

I remember when all the firsts were about me. My first outdoor pee, my first haircut, my first bath. Alas, things have changed and now Geraldine is the focus of the firsts.

We all had a great night for Geraldine's very first Halloween. Auntie Katie and Auntie Shanley came over and we hung out while waiting for the doorbell to ring with little munchkins dressed up. The Aunties gave Geraldine and I our costumes, and I think they're a great score.

I hope this wasn't the start of Geraldine and I matching on a regular basis. That would really clog my cornhole.

Poozilla: The Revenge

Poozilla must not have appreciated the fact I blogged about her poop. She took her revenge out in a major way.

I was minding my own business sitting beside Dad, who was holding Geraldine, when she struck. Dad commented that she had pooped and wondered if she was finished. Answer: No.

Poozilla jettisoned so much poop that it burst through her diaper all over Dad, and subsequently me. Before I even knew I had a poo streak down my back Mom grabbed me and raced downstairs to the shower. I hate showers.

In the future I will tread lightly in posting potentially embarrassing things about Poozilla.

Poozilla's final victim tally:

Me
Dad
Dad's shirt
Dad's jeans
Mom's pants
Pillow case

Poozilla

Let's start at the beginning. According to my research, a fresh baby should have one poop their first day out of the womb. Geraldine came out an overachiever, pooping a whopping six times her first day.

Today, having been backed up for over 24 hours, Geraldine was not a happy camper. Unclogging that cornhole led to another milestone; pooping up her back to her head! She had poop on her arms, her back and of course filled her diaper.

This was received with laughs, amazement and some light gagging by my parents. I would love to get that kind of reaction for my poops!

Geraldine has earned her newest pet name: Poozilla.

Auntie Katie & Auntie Shanley Got Hitched

It has begun. Baby Geri has already been invited to events that I would love to attend, but instead am left to isolation in the house.

My Aunties Kate and Shanley got married this week and I wasn't there. I've been told they were lovely and everyone had a really great time, despite the cold temperatures on Friday. I would have been fine, I'm a dog!

Baby Geri better appreciate the fact she was there! Consider my corn hole clogged.
